Using my painting, art history, and business degrees I will work towards becoming an art conservator. Conservators restore and preserve works of art for future generations to appreciate. For myself, I believe that art is important to preserve and protect because it is the evidence that my generation, and the generations before us, have left their mark on the world. They tell stories, record history, and display beauty all while visually stimulating the senses. However, in order to get to where I want to go, I have to earn my painting degree, gain experience in busy studios, and intern with conservators to learn techniques and tricks in preserving works of art. Once I have gained all of these qualities, I plan to continue to preserve my fellow artist's works, in order for future generations to understand the time we are living in now and learn from our mistakes to make the world a better place.
